where moist undisturbed organic matter such as spilled
feed, moist hay, wet grain, and manure-soiled bedding
are present. Another favorable breeding spot is a location
that remains relatively undisturbed. Owners of barns
and farmhouses have particular problems with flies –
which are mostly found in calf rearing areas, near water
and feed troughs, adult animal resting areas, drains
